Privacy Policy

Dunn Education Group, LLC (DEG) provides tutoring, educational consulting, professional development, workshops, and related services to students, educators, professionals, schools, universities, and other organizations. These policies establish general expectations for working with DEG and apply unless different terms are established in a written agreement.

Scheduling and Payment

Individual tutoring and consulting sessions should be scheduled through Dunn Education Group unless otherwise arranged in writing. Payment is due according to the terms presented at booking, in a proposal, or on an invoice.

Tutors and consultants working through DEG may not independently collect payment from clients for services arranged through Dunn Education Group.

Institutional consulting engagements, workshops, program evaluations, and other projects may be subject to separate proposals, contracts, scopes of work, payment schedules, or purchase-order requirements.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Individual tutoring and consulting sessions may be canceled or rescheduled without charge with at least 24 hours' notice.

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice and no-shows may be charged in full. DEG may waive cancellation charges in cases of emergency or other exceptional circumstances.

If a DEG tutor or consultant must cancel a session, the client will not be charged and will be offered an opportunity to reschedule.

Cancellation and rescheduling terms for workshops, institutional consulting, speaking engagements, and other contracted projects may be established separately in the applicable proposal or agreement.

Consulting Services

DEG provides educational and professional consulting intended to help clients make informed decisions, strengthen their work, develop skills, and improve programs and practices.

Depending on the engagement, consulting services may include research and writing guidance, fellowship and application support, curriculum development, academic career preparation, alternative-career planning, artificial-intelligence implementation, program evaluation, communications, research processes, and other educational or organizational projects.

DEG provides recommendations based on the information available at the time of an engagement. Clients retain responsibility for decisions made based on those recommendations and for ensuring that their actions comply with applicable institutional policies, professional standards, laws, and regulations.

Unless expressly included in a written agreement, consulting services do not constitute legal, financial, tax, medical, or other regulated professional advice.

Workshops and Institutional Consulting

DEG may provide workshops, presentations, training, program evaluation, research, and consulting services to schools, universities, departments, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other institutions.

The scope, deliverables, timeline, fees, responsibilities, and payment terms for institutional projects may be established through a proposal, statement of work, purchase order, or separate contract.

Changes to an agreed project scope may require adjustments to the project's timeline or fees. DEG will communicate material changes with the client before undertaking substantial work outside the agreed scope.

When the terms of an institutional agreement conflict with these general policies, the terms of the applicable written agreement control.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing DEG with reasonably accurate and complete information necessary to perform the requested services. Clients are also responsible for reviewing DEG's recommendations, drafts, reports, or other deliverables and communicating relevant deadlines, institutional requirements, or other constraints.

Delays caused by missing information, delayed feedback, or changes in client requirements may affect project timelines.

Academic Integrity

Dunn Education Group supports students and academics in developing their own knowledge, skills, research, and written work.

DEG tutors and consultants may provide instruction, feedback, editing guidance, research guidance, organizational support, and assistance understanding assignments or professional expectations. DEG will not complete graded assignments, examinations, dissertations, theses, or other academic work on behalf of a client when doing so would violate applicable academic-integrity requirements.

Clients remain responsible for understanding and complying with the policies of their schools, universities, programs, instructors, publishers, funding organizations, or other relevant institutions.

Applications, Fellowships, and Professional Materials

DEG may assist clients with college and school applications, fellowship applications, academic job materials, professional documents, and similar materials through consultation, feedback, editing, and strategic guidance.

The underlying experiences, qualifications, ideas, research, and representations contained in those materials must remain truthful and attributable to the client. DEG will not knowingly assist a client in fabricating credentials, research, accomplishments, experiences, or other material information.

Artificial Intelligence

DEG recognizes artificial intelligence as an increasingly important educational and professional tool and may provide consulting or training related to its responsible implementation.

Tutors and consultants may help clients understand, evaluate, and appropriately use AI tools. Clients remain responsible for complying with the AI policies of their schools, universities, instructors, employers, publishers, or other applicable institutions.

DEG will not knowingly assist a client in using artificial intelligence to misrepresent authorship, fabricate research or evidence, or circumvent applicable academic-integrity requirements.

Professional Boundaries and Conduct

DEG expects professional and respectful conduct from clients, students, tutors, consultants, institutional partners, and staff.

Harassment, discrimination, threats, sexual misconduct, abusive behavior, or other conduct that creates an unsafe or substantially disruptive environment will not be tolerated. DEG reserves the right to discontinue services when appropriate.

Services for Minors

When tutoring or other individual educational services are provided to a student under 18, a parent or legal guardian must authorize the student's participation and provide necessary contact and billing information.

Tutors working with minors are expected to maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Parents or guardians may be included in communications concerning scheduling, payment, student progress, or significant concerns about services as appropriate.

Tutor–Client Relationships

Tutors introduced to clients through Dunn Education Group provide services through DEG's tutoring program. Scheduling and payment for DEG-arranged services should remain through Dunn Education Group.

Clients may request a different tutor at any time. DEG may also recommend a different tutor when another professional would provide a better academic, professional, or scheduling fit.

Confidentiality and Privacy

DEG recognizes that consulting and tutoring engagements may involve educational, professional, organizational, or other sensitive information. DEG will take reasonable measures to protect information provided by clients and will use that information as reasonably necessary to perform and administer its services.

DEG will not sell client personal information.

Institutional engagements involving confidential information, research data, student information, proprietary materials, or other sensitive information may be governed by additional confidentiality or data-handling requirements established in writing.

Intellectual Property and Materials

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, DEG retains ownership of its pre-existing instructional materials, workshop materials, frameworks, templates, methodologies, presentations, and other proprietary resources.

Clients retain ownership of their own original materials and information provided to DEG. Ownership and permitted use of custom reports, research, presentations, curricula, or other deliverables created for institutional clients may be established in the applicable contract or statement of work.

DEG materials may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, or used commercially beyond the purposes authorized by DEG or the applicable agreement.

Results and No Guarantee of Outcomes

DEG is committed to providing high-quality educational and consulting services, but outcomes depend on circumstances beyond DEG's control.

DEG does not guarantee particular grades, test scores, admissions decisions, fellowships, publications, employment outcomes, promotions, funding decisions, institutional results, or other specific outcomes.

Consulting recommendations represent professional guidance rather than guarantees of future performance or results.

Changes to Services and Policies

Dunn Education Group may update these general policies as its services develop. The version posted on the DEG website represents the current general policies unless a separate written agreement applies.
